Special Features (Environmental Issues)
It is a long stretch of mountains starting from near the drainage basin
of the river Densu extending to parts of Volta region. Greater parts of
their surface are forested and more importantly provide serene
environment to wildlife habitat. In addition, it is cut through by the
Volta River at Akosombo and also serves as a watershed for Boti and Vli
Falls.
